Just a quick question, so if you were backing up all your files folders docs and emails which way would be your choice ?. I say this because I thought I was doing right in using Lavesoft and cloning the whole drive every month to a hard drive in a caddie. That was till my hard drive failed and the clone image to a new hard drive wouldn't boot

Windows or Software ?

I dont tend to back up the OS. I use google drive paid account to backup documents, photos etc and gmail never had issues with.
If you want to be secure, then a local backup as well as a cloud backup. I've used AOMEI backupper free one and worked well for cloning.

What is Lavesoft, can't find anything about this.

AOMEI backupper looks very good, i'll give it a try.

Thought Id ask first, has anyone got full version handy ?

i tend to use several strategies when backing up.
Onedrive is an obvious one, it syncs with all my devices I use so backups are always around.

Secondly, I use drop box for other areas apart from email.

Lastly, i use my Synology box for email backup and as said above i use Macrium Reflect but i do this periodically on a grandfather basis etc over time for incremental backups.
