First of all this image is for the CLONE DREAMBOX DM800se, hopefully in the very near future we will also be porting this image to the other dreambox receivers.

I would like to thank the coders, plugin creators, image makers, beta testers, and everyone involved in this amazing dm800se image!

It is in my opinion just like the previous images made by the DW TEAM, amazingly stable, easy to use, always supported by us.

Installation (for those that are not sure):
There are many ways to install images on the dreambox dm800se, so I will just give some advice on the one I use, and find the easiest method!

1) You will need to put your box into boot mode, hold down the standby button while powering on the box, you will see there is a ip address on the box screen.

2) With that IP address on the front of the box, go into your browser, and type in the address into a the address bar.

EXAMPLE:
Code:
You don't have permission to view the code content. Log in or register now.
3) You will find a new screen (boot screen) that looks like this:
dm800se boot screen.png
(if you do not see this screen you have done something wrong, maybe not held down the standby button long enough?)

4) From the picture above I have highlighted the Firmware Upgrade button ---> Click it.

5) This next screen is where you upload the new image found at the top of this page.

dm800se flash screen.png

6) Click the "select file button" and select the location of the "digitalworldz-V1-dm800se.nfi" file
* We take it you have already un-rared it from the file in post 1

NOTE: I personally had allot of trouble trying to get chrome to upload the file - and had to use Internet Explorer - which worked first time.

7) Once you have found your file then you need to press "FLASH"

8) Grab a tea or a juice (beer even???), this will take a few minutes to flash the image to your box.

9) Once the image has flashed you should see this screen:

dm800se flash complete screen.png

10) So it should be all flashed and your new image is ready to go!!!

TROUBLE SHOOTING

Image did not flash, instead it gave me older file error?

This is probably something that a small minority will face:
But it is perfectly normal!
You need to flash the updated bootloader first, all you need to do is follow the instructions above to point 6 and instead of putting the digitalworldz nfi put in he bootloader file.

Latest Boot Loader To Date

This flash should take a second or two as its a very small file, now repeat the steps above but with the digitalworldz nfi file and it should work now.

I will update this post with further trouble shooting when problems arise.

Really looking forward to trying this, but just a few q's before I try, can we have a few screenies of the gui as I really like how I have dbuk setup but it has a few annoyances like the crossepg bug with it reverting to internal flash as storage

basically i'd like to still use the pli-HD skin and second info bar :)

also, does the play/pause button start timeshift?

Knowing this Image was in the making IPK files of popular plugins have started to be uploaded to the downloads section :)

ipk files here

FTP them to TMP folder

On Dreambox
Blue
Software Management
Install Local Extention
Memory /TMP
make sure a tick is in the file(s) you want to install
Green to install

reboot box for files to take effect

pli-hd is the default skin, no change with second infobar.
havn't a clue on timeshift as I never use it.
Mt epg is always on the usb stick but I know at least 1 of the testers had it change to internal although I can't replicate it here.
The dw brushed ali (dw modded) is there to change to but not the default skin.

I use Permanent Timeshift, with a 16GB micro USB I set it to 120 (2hrs)
this then records 2hrs of the channel you are on
there is no need to press pause, just go do your things (loo, fag whatever) come back and just rewind to where you left off :)

easy

as said in post 1 if you are on an older SSL ie: 82 you may be better off flashing the 84b before you start just to save yourself time
:)

You will need to install multi quick button plugin to set a button to start timeshift then the play pause button will work

Off topic sorry guys

What happens if you change channel during the two hours?

Does it start again from the start on the new channel?

And if your flicking around is it constantly restarting?

Ive not looked in settings if this can be changed as yet

No your correct about assigning the play button,
but once you set a button, other then the play/pause button, to start timeshift you can then use the play/pause button to pause and unpause the timeshifted recording,

Hope thats of some help :)

This is the first release so things can be added in future releases :) if the demand is there

all I would advise is for members to try this new image leave it on for a few days and in that time post here with things that you think could benefit users and the DigitalWorldz future images, or any bugs they might well find

:)

Brilliant, some awesome work has gone into this I can tell, like the Time Shift stuff and what you can do with it, just have to wait for it to be rolled out for the 800HD.

Good work and great to see an image out there!
