Dcc password for dr hd d15

Hi all, after reading a lot of threads on different forums I now understand the basics of using my box. I've decided to use DCC as it seems quite simple to use & add to my box what I want to do. My main problem is I cannot connect to the box when setting up my network. All ip addresses are correct as I've checked & checked again, when I try to connect I get the message "Dreambox login failed" Error 10057 in function Send socket is not connected. When I change the password from dreambox to root the protocol connects for a second "Telnet connected" then "Telnet disconnected". I'm pretty sure it's the login that is causing the problem. Can someone tell me if it is simply the password that is incorrect or do I physically have to connect the box to the pc with a cable as at the moment I'm trying to connect wirelessly?
