Watch this space... next it'll be CRB check. Once another council pen-pusher thinks of it : grim :

i have a "enhanced" crb mate, that costs me 60 quid a year also , the council are always finding a way to rip us off, fooking 300 quid a year for a MOT man

They'll probably outsource all this to ATOS, who in turn will give it to G4S.

Who will back-heel it to Brussels, the Polish will pick it up and deal with it on a short-term lease transportation service thus avoiding any regulation and we'll just sit back and watch.

I'd comment but I'd just get slapped, again.

Just a heads up that CRB are no more. Its been replaced with a new check called DBS which costs £44 for an enhanced check.

The check should only be required if you are potentially in a situation where you are going to be left alone with a child which probably does apply in your situation.

But the £50 you have spent is tax deductible, and enables you to still have the contract for taking the kids to and from school which if I am not mistaken can pay quiet well.

Also the enhanced crb or dbs is of course also tax deductible, yes you had to take 3 hours off work but I would say 3 hours well spent tbh oh and the kids are safeguarded now you never know it might come in handy one day not just for the ones you taxi around.

being able to spot child abuse early is one of the most important thing. i think 3 hours is not enough to be honest.
i work for a childrens charity and the horror stories that i see where simple things are missed are beyond belief.
if you can save just one child then the hours you spent or the money you spent dont even come into it.

rubbish mate, i don't work for a children's charity, im a taxi driver & 3 hours is to long & £25 per person forced on some one ( without the 3 hours lost work its ludicrous) anyway, told them to shove it, i don't need the hassle
