Ok been wondering this for a while (and this seems to be the most active section so best place to post I guess, but feel free to move it if not).
Why bother with clones ? there seems to be alot of hassle involved with keeping 1 updated, and stopping it becoming a brick, so why bother ?
With the old Dmm clones I could kind of understand it as the genuine box's were silly money and the clones were less than a 1/3 of the price, so it was a cheap way to get a linux box (although even then there were some risks).
But with Vu+, Xtrend, Gigablue etc etc the prices are much more reasonable, so I just wonder why bother with the clones now (even dmm clones) ?
How much cheaper is a Solo2 clone over a genuine Solo2 ?
How much cheaper is a Duo2 clone over a genuine Duo2 ?
How much cheaper are the Uno, Duo and Solo clones over the genuine versions ?
