Cheap 2.5 HDD Needed

my laptop has died so Im now using my iPhone or I nick daughters netbook when she aint using it lol

Im after a 2.5 HDD 500GB - 1TB as I store 3d movies to larger the better

where can I pick one of these up cheapish ?

both reasonably priced mate, just take the hard drive out of them and then you have a spare enclosure if you ever need it for testing other hard drives or for backups.

Get an SSD drive for the laptop.

You will get more storage for your money if buy a 3.5 drive and use a NAS enclosure. That way, everybody in the house can use them as well as play through the satellite receiver. Alternatively, pull the HDD from your 800se if you have one and use the NAS drive for recording to too.

thats exactly what i do, small 64gb ocz ssd in laptop as dont store anything on it now, i have a 4tb dlink share centre nas, which anybody on my network can connect to and store or play files from, great bit of kit a nas drive.
