Card reader!!!!

Hi folks :

Happy New Year to every body.

I'm trying to copy some files to a new SD card for a Tom Tom with a card reader and wen I copy and paste it doesn't allow me to paste I got this message.

Error Copying File or Folder
cannot create or replace New Folder; The disk is write-protected.
Remove the write-protection or use another disk

I try to move the card protection in the card but I get the same message.

Can any body help me .

Yes is 2 GB SD card I just buy the other day

I had this prob and it was my old card reader, it couldnt handle anything over 1 gig, got a new one and it solved the problem. Hope this helps.

Im assuming that when you say "I try to move the card protection in the card" you are referring to the little tab switch on the side of the card.

Even so, make sure that it is set so can read and write to the SD card.

Yes It was the card reader is a model that is old and as Dingodog says ,it couldn't handle anything over 1 gig,
I went to day and buy a new card reader and the problem resolve

CORRECTION after receiving this card reader u need an adaptor for micro sd, unfortunately the website doesnt tell u this.
