Buying A Printer

Hi all, i am going to buy a printer (upto £90) i have seen this one:

Is there one better/similar for around the same price?

still there are better printers for the price around. plus you know its new, and will work if you buy it from a shop

Buy a new epson r265 from inkexpress then a cheap continues ink system off ebay

cost around £80 all together but then atleast you will have a guarantee
saying that epson are great with a manufatures guarantee they replaced a printer for me last year

youll not regret getting a epson cd printer with a ink system there thre nuts great quality

Can't see that model on there website but found this http://www.kikatek.com/product_info.php?products_id=24393&source=froogle (None in stock atm cant find one anyone?)- also if i bought that from that website will CISS work as i thought you needed a pre march model of this printer for CISS to work?

l was buyings an ink cartage every week before l got one these and now its been 4 months and there still half full .. now have one at home too

That was the one i was originally looking at mate, although its a newer model the DPI is lower 4,800 DPI on the r285 and on the r265 its 5760 dpi, also looks like an all in one printer (scanner) the r265 not sure though cant find r265 to buy anywhere at the moment all out of stock and i am still not sure about it having to be pre march release, any ideas?

The print head res is better on the epson but the carriage dpi is better on the cannon not sure which one is best really ideally i want the best quality print on disk, what one shall i go for?

Just bought the R285 and the print quality on disc`s is excellent m8.

Dont worry about the pre march thing i got a new model and theres ciss systems on ebay the do both pre and after models

all you need is to buy a ciss system with the new 3.1v chip m8 the do all models there all over ebay think i paid about £26 for mine

little more then i paid but if you do some digging youll find a cheaper one deffo buy a epson though ive had my ink system nearly a year printed hundreds of flyers and disks and its harldy dropped should last another 2 year lol

Cheers mate, finding it pretty hard finding a r265 model at the moment i remember last year sometime i wanted that printer and there was an ebay seller that solf the r265 + CISS but i can only get the r285 + CISS.

Yeah i am tempted mate whats stopping me is the DPI being lower on a higher model (r265 DPI is larger than r285) also when it comes to rating the printers the cannon seems to out do the epson:

Strange that the print head on the r285 res is 1,440 and on the r265 its 5,760 but on the carriage res on the r285 its 5,760 and on the r265 the carriage res is 1,440 on that website, also when this item is listed on ebay the DPI is stated as 4,800 DPI:

when i bought mine (last week)it stated on the box 5760 dpi x 1440 dpi,don`t know if it is though,wouldn`t know the difference,i know it does photo`s excellent though m8.

sounds like a selling gimmick to me . if the cartage is only 1400 and wot ever the head does over that is a waste of time ?
