For some time BT have been trialing a 1 Meg ADSL connection for Home use.
The release date has now been set and it is Jan 19th. The cost will be £38 per month.
There will be no connection or transfer fees for exiting BT broadband users.
What remains to be seen is how long they will be able to maintain this pricing level when other ISP's like Bulldog offer a 24/7 2Meg connection with 40/1 contention for on £37.99 a month or you can opt for the Primetime package at £29.99 which is 512 during the day and 2Meg after 6pm and weekends. Although BT's pricing is similar to cable operators.
