Hi Peeps,

I have a blade 7000 which i am trying to set up as a server.

The problem im having is that i am unable to open port 12000 on my router.

I have more or less tried everything, but cant get any port open never mind port 12000.

Dont know what else to try, any ideas people?

is there a wrt firmware available for your router i know it might be nowt to do with this i have just found flashing with the above firmware makes the router much more configurable

i had a netgear (virgin media) which i was using but i had to get rid of that as i could not log into the router settings

i am now using a tp-link wr340g router

im not to sure about the firmware but i will take a look on their website

i have already used the port forwarding website

tried every little setting possible to try & get the ports open, i just cant work out why the ports dont work[/B]

would deffo try flashing the firmware of router mate.

i went on the tp-link website, could not find any latest firmware available for my router (wr340g)

i will email them to see if there is any latest firmware available for my particular router

Hi mate,

might try posting in the pc network section.. Might get a few more look ins

thanx m8 but got it sorted

had to call in a professional, took him around 15 minutes messing with the settings & but he got it open

it proved to be a real nightmare for me

so what exactly was the problem was it the router or the box
