blade 7000 combo locking up

Hi all, I have a blade 7000s combo, when I plug in a usb hard drive or memory stick the box recognizes the hard drive and shortly after the Sat box completely locks up and I have to switch it off at the mains to reset it. Could this be a firmware issue or a faulty box?

Any help would be appreciated

It sounds like a faulty box. Is there a red dot on the Bm panel ? Try total system reset after saving details on flash-drive.

are you using the correct firmware ?.. the firmware for the blade 7000s sat box will not work in the 7000combo.
