Bizarre Dbox Problem...Anyone help?

The capacitors which can prevent a cpu reset are smd capacitors mainly on the underside of the mainboard.
If you left your box off over night and got no boot there is a other problem.
Check the boot log. Maybe you see some error messages.

Tried bootmanager to get bootlog everything off and set to 9600 all i get it a half hight vertical line with ^ in between, every 2 seconds just keeps repeating.
I take it my box is knackard ?

Maybe a problem with the power supply. Check the voltages.

Thanks for your help so far mgb.i know the diagrams for dbox are available and will get them and do sme checking, but it does seem to be strange as a slight tap would get it to boot in the past but not any more and like i said once it booted up to chanels i could move it or tap it even shake it and it stayed on fine, just when it was unpluged and tried to boot up again seems just in the very first part of boot as dont even get the bmon part on lcd just the back light.
