ive been haiving major problems with my graphics card and im sure theres plenty others out there in the same boat.
ive been to plenty sites and i have atleast half a dozen suggestions of how to fix it and ive been thru 4 parts of that.
i would just like to know how many out there have the prob and have u cured it.
ATIKMDAG.sys problem seemingly is a problem lots are having thru different versions of graphics cards. This is the ATI prob but seemingly the NVidia have probs too and its all connected to Vista.
It also seems that different people have different cures.
ive been thru:
1) Uninstalling the ATI Catalyst
2) I have turned off aero and all transparencies.
3)msconfig/boot fix:
1. Run MSCONFIG in a command prompt.
2. Click the BOOT tab
3. Click on ADVANCED options.
4. Put a CHECK in "Number of Processors", and then select the number of
processors your system has. 1 for a single, 2 for a dual core, 4 for a quad.
5. Put a CHECK in "Maximum memory", and key in amount of RAM you have.
6. Click OK, Click APPLY, and re-boot when prompted.
4( I’ve also updated drivers and back tracked to old drivers aswell as going back to old ATI Catalysts.
has anyone got cures coz im ready to rip this card out and bin it and it cost £35.
my card is ATI Radeon HD3400 SERIES.
Cheers
gio
