Another Hotmail Query

My Brother (for months now) has been unable to open attachments within his hotmail account. I've had a wee look at it before without any joy. Any of you peeps have any ideas? Any help would be appreciated.

Has he changed his Anti-virus m8,i changed mine a while ago and the msn wouldnt let me open attachments as i had my msn down to check my attachments with the old AV which wasnt there,so changed it too my new AV and it worked
