Do,s or has anyone in the forum have any info on breathing allergies?
I,ve been to the doc with my three year old daughter for the past two months.
Her symptoms are a runny nose, coughing(not dry nor tickly)and at times very bad appetite.
The doctor has given me anti histamines, and an anti biotic, wich work for a few days, then its back again to the doctor who says everything is fine with breathing, when clearly its not,as I listen to her cough all night and it carries on through the day.
Since the cough started recently,I have been self diagnosing as an allergie.
IE hayfever.
Or dust mites
If this is the case, would leaving the windows open increase the allergie?
Would an air dehumidifier or humidifier help?
Would allergie laundry be required for bed?
I can,t seem to find any allergie treatments of the shelves for under sixes.
Some older people say steaming her with water basin and towel would help?
I,m not looking for a doctor,I just thought there may be some people who
may be in,or have suffered similiar medical difficulties.
Any advice or opinion greatly appreciated.

might be,

but just a thought tonsils ? the symptoms runny nose, coughing(not dry nor tickly)and at times very bad appetite. thes are the sort of thing that 2 kids i know have had in the last year both have now had tonsilextomies (bad spelling) and have had no probs since.

its difficult for a 3 year old to let u know exactly what the problem is....1 of the lads is 6 he said to his dad 3 days after the op it was the first time EVER that he could swallow with out it hurting

Thanks for the reply Hatab, but the doc checked her tonsils and so did I,as
I constantly suffered from tonsilitas from 6 to 10 but I never got them removed
after missing operation over family emigration.
Also there has,nt been a temprature today, but she has complained of sore legs,
and sore tummy, but she walked for about a mile today with me and had her lunch and requested sausage roll.
I,m baffled..

does she get a blocked nose?
I get a blocked nose the next day if ive been in contact with flies or pollen and then i start sneezing when i go to sleep. My advice : keep the windows closed if you've got grass or plants outside.

"steaming with water basin and towel"
ive been told about that when i had blocked nose.

I think myself its got to do with high pollen count.
Will humidifiers rectify this?

My son had similar when about 3 yrs. Was caused by allergy related to Hay Fever and Piriton sorted him out in a few days. Double advantage in that it made him go to sleep as well.

I suffer from hay fever as well. Do you? Allergies run in families.
