I have been given a old Xbox 360, the plan is to get it working and give it to my son.

2 issues, it does not have any cable or PSU and has a problem with the DVD tray sticking/not opening.

At the moment I am trying to find some one to let me borrow a PSU to confirm it works and I can fix the DVD tray, but how to I confirm what PSU I require and also the type of XBox I have (I think it is the Arcade).

If/when I get it working can someone recommend were I would get a good value PSU and controllers? Would I require anything else.

It has a space at the side for hard drive.

Unless you can get the parts for free I wouldn't bother paying for them.

You can pick up xboxes for around £20 from second hand places

dvd drives can be easily repaired, sometime parts are not needed.

What is the MFR date on the back label???

From the picture it looks like I have the 175w Falcon, I will not be able to confirm the date until tonight.

I would have not seen any 360's for £20 any were around here, I have not seen any less than £80 and that going up at this time of the year.

Just managed to get the MFR date is 11/05/2008

most likely a falcon or jasper with a liteon dvd drive installed,
