It's all sorted, wiped and reinstalled the lot, only thing that is different now is on boot up you have to switch the wireless on ?

There may be a setting in the bios to remember the last state of the lappy when it was turned off, so if wireless was switched on when you turned lappy off then it would be on when you started.....thats the way mine was anyway.
