its a pretty powerful laptop mate but if i were you i woud shop around. you might be able to find cheaper. have a look at dell laptops.

Im on my second Acer, no probs at all with either, in fact my lads using the original which is now 4yrs old.
As long as you remember to clean the dust out of the cooling fins/fans regularly.

I have a cheap Acer 5051, cost me less than 300 notes at Christmas, totally delighted with it as a pc but it's shit at 3D gaming as you'd expect :)

My only gripe is that the PSU failed after 3 months, but those are not built by ACER and are cheap enough to replace.

I bought one.. and its pure magic,.. got it £30 cheaper by buying from dixons.co.uk

its pretty good.. vista with heavy ram and good processor its well worth £279..

Cheers for the replys guys am at present looking for a cheaper but same spec rig. dont suppose any1 no of any Comt voucher codes? have seen a similar rig on ebay what do you recon to this 1?

You pay for SONY, you're paying for a brand name, not specification.

**** SONY and their over-rated/over-priced garbage.

Run Time (Up To): 1.6 hour(s)
pretty much says all - not battery life - run time lol

viaos are fragile - even more fragile than equium screens - cant recommend one

vista with less than 4gb is a far from ideal OS for doing anything at any speed so I would hesitate to recomend the first one either - I'd strongly suggest you try any laptop before buying off spec

product code 354080 pc world
its another £100 over what you wanted to spend but £300 off this one
