500s not working

I've had a Blackbox 500s for a couple of weeks, working fine.

Tonight it just has a green LED and is dead apart from that.

Was running OpenPLI.
Can't be seen on network and no TV picture, remote has no effect.
I can't connect using Flashwizard to reflash as not visible on network.

I've ordered a null modem cable to try and connect direct, will this recover it?
If not I guess it'll need replacing.
Is there anything else I can try?

No but I would say it should probably be recoverable with the null modem cable and dreamup

As stated by Mark it will be recoverable by the null cable.

Use dreamup 1.3.2. As the latest ones are not very compatible as I've found.

happenens now and again with dm500 as sayed above will deff sort it

yes dreamup did the trick, great piece of software.

now running Commando v14.4 (v14.5 is due out next week by the way).
up and running, just need to find out how to update some channels, Channel 5 is missing at the moment.
also got to mount a network drive.

use the latest sgtflipflop services and dbedit to upload them on to your box

you're going to have to help me out with this, that didn't mean anything to me :-(

I'd just got my head round openpli when my box crashed, so back to square one on learning about all this.
