Taken from Whitch

Following the launch of the Apple iPhone 4S, all the major networks have confirmed they will be stocking the device from 14 October, and are working to have pre-orders ready for 7 October.

Apple has confirmed that prices will be £499 for the 16GB version of the handset, £599 for the 32GB and £699 for the 64GB versions.

Apple iPhone 4S deals
If you want to preorder the new iPhone from Apple itself you can pay the full whack of £499 for the 16GB, £599 for the 32GB and £699 for the 64GB versions.

O2 iPhone 4S deals
O2 has confirmed it will be stocking the device, although there’s no news on pricing or the deals available yet.

Orange iPhone 4S deals
Orange has released its pricing details for the 4S, and it is available to preorder through retailers Phones4U and dial-a-phone.

The shiny new device can be picked up free on 24 month contracts costing £46 a month which give 900 minutes of talk time, unlimited text messages and 1GB of data.

You can get it on price plans as low as £20, although you’ll have to shell out a lot up-front.

3 iPhone 4S deals
3 are offering the cheapest deal with an iPhone 4S free on a £43 a month 24 month contract offering 900 minutes, 5,000 texts and 1GB of data.

However, preorders for the 16GB version can only be made in store. Although its website is accepting preorders for the 32 and 64GB versions.

T-Mobile iPhone 4S deals
T-Mobile is offering the 4S free on deals costing £46 a month for 24 months. This comes with 1,200 minutes, 500 texts, 750MB of data and a flexible booster you can use to give you things like unlimited texts.

The device is also available on deals as low as £26, although you will have to pay a hefty fee for the handset.

Vodafone iPhone 4S deals
Vodafone is also offering the handset free on £46 a month 24 month contracts with 1,200 minutes, unlimited texts and 750MB of data. Again it is available on contracts as low as £26 a month, although this requires a up-front cost.

Vodafone is also offering the handset on 12 and 18 month deals, although if you want the same amount of minutes, text and data for a year this will cost £51 a month and require an up-front payment of £139.

Unfortunately the 3 network is sh***. If i recall they don't use all their own network, and the customer support is horrific.

I literally just had a call from Voda as a "pre-selected" customer. Offering me a 24 Month contract with unlimited data (first three months) and texts and the money I pay upfront for the handset (£59) now will be credited to my next bill.

Problem here is i loath all these 24 month contracts because most of the time after the first 12 months i want to upgrade.

Been with 3 for 5yrs and originally they "piggy-backed" orange for 2G, possibly still do in some area's but they are switching over to their 3G only masts.
Never had a major problem with their cover , As for customer service I haven't had to contact them......
As for contract lengths I totally agree 24 months is a long time & yes I did change my phone after about 10 months last time!

They are just trying to entice people in on long term contracts with one limited really crap offer. I mean seriously why would i want to sign myself up for two years and get my 59 quid back. Do these people live in the real world.

I want a 12 Month contract if anything, with the same deal i have now and the handset upgrade for free or a low price, and even then I would have to really really be pushed to change from my 4 to a 4S
