i have a pace 4001 iam in pure n*l i was told to short the battry as i was not getting any channels so i did that it wiped the memory as it said in engineers menu date jan-28 1980 i left it in tune overnight it came out of tune now it booted but now it is stuck in virgin medea powering up wait a moment it has been like this for 2-3 hours and still is i cant force update anyone with any idea on this thanks

yes i have and are correct but on page 8 it says ippv status undifined

On the boxes I've done I changed the frequency up a few notches then back to what it should be. Press select then hold down the services button whilst pulling the power out. On re-boot they updated and worked within 2-3 minutes.

I got that from a thread on here.

It seems that the cc have tried attacking the 4000 with their new software because it too much of a coincidence that people have been having same problem since updating software to th Vir**n one.
