2004 Scenic 1.5Dci - Warning light

Now buying a Scenic 1.5 Dci, however it's got a warning light on it "Check Parking Brake" - but it's working fine - could just be it needs a reset or something?

Also, the service light is on - do i need a car sparky to reset it with a laptop and the proper software?

check before you buy it if possible
the handbrake is electronic and expensive to fit and buy let alone code to the car
