2002 Ford Focus MAF Location/problem

hi all,
i suspect i have an issue with my MAF on my 2002 ford focus, it runs ok but is weak on power and between 50 and 70 the speedo bounces about, and when i take the foot off the gas its like diving into a gusty headwind, its been on the diagnostics machine and no errors are shown which according to google is the norm for a fault on this device. i've spotted one on ebay so i know what they look like and i know its something to do with the air intake, i just dont know where to look under the bonnet to change it.

Any ideas chaps?

Thanks buddy, thats what the mechanic thought, he put a brand new one in and it didnt change anything, google lends me to believe that the speed sensor is a possible, maf, throttle position sensor (mine is a cable), maybe plug leads but ive seen a few things that suggest the maf sensor and describe the exact same issue, non however say that changing any of them sorted it
