2 routers on one ADSL

I am moving the house around and want to know if I can attach two adsl routers to the same telephone line? I ask as the router is currently downstairs and the signal is very low in the study upstairs. I can fit another socket in the room easily and I have a spare router. Ta.

as far as i know you can only have one adsl modem on a phone line ,,

you could try this

or have a look at a new router as some have more power then other

why dont you try to set up WDS(Wireless Distribution System) or might be called wireless bridge if you routers support it.

connect one to xDSL and the other router connects to the wifi of the one connected to the xDSL line.

The other option is these new fan dangled powerline ethernet adapters. I have two for the same reason and they are great.
