14Day SlyUK EPG on DB600PVR with HD.

Requires use of PLI Iolite 2008 Image. ht*p://xxx.pli-images.org/downloads.php?cat_id=8
requires hard disk installed in 600.( i am currently testing usb memory option.)
Ftp the files in sky14epg file to your box, dont ftp the sky14epg directory, only the directories & files within.

then do below

(blue button, Dreambox settings, System settings, EPG)

Switch to EPG Data Store---- SQLite EPG database
Switch to SQlite EPG location----Internal Harddisk
switch to SQLite EPG Directory---- /media/hdd
set number of days to 1-14
X Enable MHW EPG
X Limit Enigma EPG Size

Press green button to save

Download the 'Dreambox EPG config plugin' and the MV 3.5.2 plugin via blue button, software management

Make your SKY bouquet current by zapping to a channel in that list

Start the Dreambox EPG config plugin via the plugin menu (yellow button)
Choose Radiotimes UK Package, not wolf nl(its down)
Press the green button to open the channel mapping screen
On the left, you see the unmapped channels
On the right, you see the channels from the current bouquet

Now map the channels by selecting one in the left window (ok), then select the matching one from the right (ok)

Once you've mapped all channels you want to see EPG data from, press Done (green button)

You can now do a manual retrieve (yellow button) to check. You should see a download window for every channel mapped.

now press up or down button, choose channel with up or down, press info button, choose multiEPG...
(you can define number of hours shown by pressing 1 through 6, 1 for 1 hour, 6 for 6 hours)
or yellow key(plugins) and MV 3.5.2

you can define how many channels are displayed at once within mutlipeg (blue button,dreambox ,user interface settings,MultiEPG, i choose 6 channels, font size of 2 and genre colours) this displays a nice multiepg with a channel/info/program description at top of multiepg screen)

and please dont reply and say this is included in pli image, you would be right, but it dosn't work, it was originally written for 500+, i rewrote the scripts for 600, now it works just fine..

i also had a hell of a time figuring this all out, as no instructions are given, either programming or user.

The above is 100% tested and working on 3 different 600S.
i might tackle the 600c next )

i don't have a 7025 to test this on, but the 7025 has a image layout similar to 600, try installing and follow my instructions to edit the files, if the files are in the same location then your on the pigs back...

its here, fitted a 60G HDD for now and just setting up the EPG.

ive downloaded the x-line skin i used with gemini, so looks wise its the same.

its a bit of a pain setting up this EPG as every channel has to be done, then you have to find that channel in a list as well. ive done about 30 channels, and am well impressed with it so far

once all your channels are setup is just a matter of maybe once per week retrieving the info.. easy peasy..

whilst your in the multiepg view if you press the green button on your choosen program you should get the programmable timer up...or press help for more info..

another hint with 600 is, when in tv mode to see recorded programs press down or up button then press text button, this takes you to list of recored stuff on hd..

techie said in his earlier post he didn't have a 7025 but it would work if the file structure was similar, why not try it and see whta happens. I have used the longer epg on my cable dm600 and it reeally handy wehn you want to record something a few days in advance.

I gave it a go - copied the files over, but the menu structure is completely different and i couldn't see anyway of activating it. Neither is there a way of downloading the required plugins from the LT4 image i am using.
So i guess this is deigned purely for the 600 and the image suggested.

It would be good to get a decent epg running on the 7025 though. Has anyone else got any recommendations for the 7025?

As far as I know this EPG only works on the Pli images because it needs the SQ plugin. The Pli team recently brought out an image for DM7025 so you would need to load that before you could try this EPG.

in my previous post i gave you the link to the pli image, the epg only works within pli..

pli will have true timeshifting in the next release (no need to press record) this feature was added to cvs and pli has implemented it from cvs.
