Installing Oscam?

Ive been trying to load Oscam onto TM600 manually due to the CP pannel not working on the IQ image. When I send the oscam file to /tmp the box is stuck on installing and doesn't install. Also I tried extracting the cam and ftp it to var/bin like you can do with other linux receivers and this doesn't work either.

Does anyone know how to install the cam on this box manually?

I can't seem to find any info on how this can be done.

Problem is that the panel installer installs the cams in the read only part of the memory which makes replacing the binary a pain.

The problem I'm having is getting the binary on there since CP panel is down and I can't upload it to the box manually.

There are two copies of smartcam.config, I presume one for restoring. One in /var/ and another in var/etc/. Add a section for oscam noting the layout for CCcam and Mgcamd. Place the binary in /var/bin and chmod 755. Add configs and reboot. The default is CCcam, I have changed it to oscam in the attached. This is applicable to the 13/12/2012 image.

I couldn't get the date to update before oscam started. If you are only using oscam, it doesn't matter as it will wait and correct itself.

Also, if you go to the addons section and remove the existing cams, the symbolic links as well as the cams in the read only section of memory are deleted. (They come back after factory reset).

Replacing the two copies of the smartcam.config with the following allows you to use following permutations for the attached:- oscam only, CCcam only, mgcamd only, oscam & CCcam, oscam & mgcamd. Cams must be placed in /var/bin/ and names must match the daemon names in the script.

Hey lads can you help me to do the same on a m8's tm, not sure at the minute if its a tm500 or 600 but its a UR image and the card has limited number of channels and most of them now need oscam to clear.

Same files will work on either fro teh softcam manager.

After that take your pick from the ppc versions of Oscam in EMU downloads. There should be some config files there too.
