Don't you just hate people who just stay in the middle lane no matter what!!!! I was just behind an idiot who was in the middle even though the near side lane was empty, and they weren't anywhere near the legal speed limit.

just go in the near side lane then if that is running faster then the mid
I'm a middle lane hog,i usually stay in the middle lane doing 80-85,it aint worth me going imto the left lane cos as soon as i go in there i have to come out again to pass a lorry or summat,if people want to pass me then whats the problem in using the right hand lane?? also i'm breaking the law going 80-85 so whoever wants to pass me must be forkin moving!!!
...People not willing to move over to the middle lane to let sliproads merge with the motorway
As for sliproad merging, I always thought you were supposed to adjust your speed accordingly to "merge" with the motorway. I can't stand people that expect you to move over and barge their way on...even if you haven't got anywhere to go yourself.
I agree totally with Dazmeister on this. There is no obligation to move over to allow people in from slip roads and it's often quite dangerous to do so. As he says, it's up to the merging driver to adjust his speed to fit in a suitable gap, or to stop if no gap exists. These idiots that try and barge in when you have nowhere to go are a fecking menace.:Chainsaw: :Chainsaw: :Chainsaw:
i disagree with that,
Driving on the motorway
Joining the motorway
233: When you join the motorway you will normally approach it from a road on the left (a slip road) or from an adjoining motorway. You should
give priority to traffic already on the motorway
check the traffic on the motorway and adjust your speed to fit safely into the traffic flow in the left-hand lane .
The Highway Code
ive seen nearly a few accidents, when cars pull out the sliproad but the lane one people dont move out the way, its easier for the motorway people to see the whats in front and behind then the person coming out the slip road
if thats makes sense
Not really, just tramlines from the heavy trucks which are a pita.Does anyone find that the inside lane tends to have more pot holes / broken surface due to the high volumes of HGV's using them?
