Don't you just hate people who just stay in the middle lane no matter what!!!! I was just behind an idiot who was in the middle even though the near side lane was empty, and they weren't anywhere near the legal speed limit.

just go in the near side lane then if that is running faster then the mid

But that would be illegal as i would be undertaking, when ideally the idiot should be keeping to the left.

i do but then i am breaking the law
think about it if the three lane motoway has ppl driving down the middle lane which bytthe way is an overtaking lane this in affect reduces the three lane motorway to a 2 lane motorway
i think iof cought driving like this i would do them
they piss me off

i love it when u undertake them
do u see the look on ther faces

i normally overtake them, once in front i go straight to the first lane, usually they move over unless you see then chatting away in your rear view mirror. if its a beamer they think its there dads motorway who wont shift over its like the 1st lane cramps there style, the funny thing with beamer drivers is when they joint the motorway why do they have to go straight to the 3rd lane?

me and my bro double take them, they shit em selfs lol

me in my silver monster with ladders on the roof and my bro in his alfa romeo with an exhaust like a fkin earthquake and a bodykit like something out of playboy with wheels

the ones who do about 55 no matter what are the worse, if i was a cop id pull em for dangerous driving orsommat lol

In the first lane we have people doing 40 -50 mph Tw*ats

In the middle lane we have all the other idiots doing 45-50 mph that dont move over. Or other lorries that want to travel at the same speed as other lorries in the 1st lane

In the third lane we have every other tw*t that need to travel at 110mph

Now onto the m25 with 4 lanes:-

Dont use the first lane and copy the above....

With all of the cameras on the roads these days they should be fined.... It's nearly as bad as doing 85 mph on the motorway and having a Beamer 4 ins away from your bumper. : spank : : spank :

Attached are a few other a little pee'd off

some times you can over take in l/h lane.

In congested conditions, where adjacent lanes of traffic are moving at similar speeds, traffic in left-hand lanes may sometimes be moving faster than traffic to the right. In these conditions you may keep up with the traffic in your lane even if this means passing traffic in the lane to your right. Do not weave in and out of lanes to overtake.

To be honest it depends on the circumstances. At busy times on certain stretches of motorway I will stay in the middle lane to allow traffic joining for slip roads to join without having to nearly die in the process.

If I am doing 75 in the middle the lane, with trucks to my left doing 56 ... why have I got some c*nt behind me flashing his lights at me because he wants to do 100. To him I am a middle lane hog - but what am I meant to do, slam on to 56 and get behind the lorry to let him pass .. he will then only hog the middle lane himself (but he will never realise this) and intimidate other drivers. I think its all about perspective!

Dont get me wrong, if the left lane is free then I will use it ... but just becuase im using the middle (overtaking lane) to overtake a truck doesnt mean I should have to break the law and speed just to please the person behind me.

Anyway, regardless of which lane you drive in, there is too much dangerous driving on motorways:
People driving far too fast and far too close
People not paying attention / falling asleep
People not willing to move over to the middle lane to let sliproads merge with the motorway
Lorrys pulling out without warning (particularly foreign ones)

edcase

I'm a middle lane hog,i usually stay in the middle lane doing 80-85,it aint worth me going imto the left lane cos as soon as i go in there i have to come out again to pass a lorry or summat,if people want to pass me then whats the problem in using the right hand lane?? also i'm breaking the law going 80-85 so whoever wants to pass me must be forkin moving!!!:)

but you got done for speeding the outher day m8

never bothers me if they dordling in the middle lane. if they're going to slow i go round em whether it's insdide or outside i aint bothered just go past;)

I hate when you are approaching a slip road and all the lanes are at a standstill because morons do not use the whole slip road area to "merge" with the motorway traffic.

Going to and returning from work in Glasgow, there are two sliproads both are at least half a mile long but the sliproad and motorway lanes are deadlocked because every tit on the road is forcing their way on to the motorway at the start of the slip.

I pass on the chevrons, drive the half mile to the end without another single car in my way and join the traffic no problem, leaving at least 200 cars behind me - which is how a slip is supposed to be used.

Agree with most of comments so far. I overtake either side I find safe to do so. Some are just so damn ignorant to it all, haven't a clue.

As for sliproad merging, I always thought you were supposed to adjust your speed accordingly to "merge" with the motorway. I can't stand people that expect you to move over and barge their way on...even if you haven't got anywhere to go yourself. :Chainsaw:

And what's this about Beemer drivers? :proud:

I agree totally with Dazmeister on this. There is no obligation to move over to allow people in from slip roads and it's often quite dangerous to do so. As he says, it's up to the merging driver to adjust his speed to fit in a suitable gap, or to stop if no gap exists. These idiots that try and barge in when you have nowhere to go are a fecking menace.:Chainsaw: :Chainsaw: :Chainsaw:

Does anyone find that the inside lane tends to have more pot holes / broken surface due to the high volumes of HGV's using them?

i disagree with that,

if a car comes out the slip road, but there is a que and they are standstill or slow trafuc, its going to be hard to for them to continue to keep up with the motorway speed even if they need to go 30 - 40 mph,

ive seen nearly a few accidents, when cars pull out the sliproad but the lane one people dont move out the way, its easier for the motorway people to see the whats in front and behind then the person coming out the slip road

if thats makes sense

i disagree with that,

Driving on the motorway

Joining the motorway

233: When you join the motorway you will normally approach it from a road on the left (a slip road) or from an adjoining motorway. You should
give priority to traffic already on the motorway
check the traffic on the motorway and adjust your speed to fit safely into the traffic flow in the left-hand lane .

The Highway Code

yea i understand that. but in real life its so difficult to follow that,,

I dont have a problem letting people on the motorway in that situation (slow moving traffic), but its impossible to change lanes just to let someone on in that situation as all lanes would be at a standstill or slow moving. Why am I even arguing the point over this???
I'm referring to general driving conditions. Accidents are caused by morons expecting you to move.

Not really, just tramlines from the heavy trucks which are a pita.
