Hello totally new to FTA no idea , i need some help, i have a technomate tm 5402hd + could anyone please tell me what software /cams i need for this receiver
i have read a lot of forum chat about patches etc but but its making me more unsure of what i need , i dont know if this should be plaiced on this forum i am also thinking of card share how do i get this and which are the best providers.

Any help would be appreciated, cheers.

I have found that the patch below is better for the TM 5402 HD

I would also advise applying the latest Original TM Software version 1.17 first before patching... it can be found here...

This is the procedure I have always used... everyone's will be slightly different...

NB: I have tried to make this 'How to' as detailed as I possibly can... and as basic as I possibly can...

Download Latest Phantompatch Software file to PC from...

Download ADDON_002p Software file to PC from...
Download center

Download Latest TMSoftcam Keyfile to PC from...

Insert USB flash drive into PC
Load Latest Original Technomate Software file from PC to USB flash drive
Load Latest Phantompatch Software file from PC to USB flash drive
Load ADDON_002p Software file from PC to USB flash drive
Load Latest TMSoftcam Keyfile from PC to USB flash drive

Insert USB flash drive into the TM 5402 HD
Enter Menu > select 'USB' > 'Data Transfer' > Press 'Red' button to 'Upload Channel Data' (aka .cndf file)
Check .cndf file (channels/satellites) is now on the USB flash drive 'File List' then press 'Exit' once

NB: It is recommended that you keep a copy of the latest .cndf file on your PC at all times and update it regularly!!

Go to 'System Settings' > 'Factory Reset' > PIN: 0-0-0-0 > 'Factory Reset' > Select 'Yes'
Wait until the factory reset has finished then select your preferred language on the following screen

Go to 'USB' > 'Data Transfer' > and select the Latest Original Technomate Software file from the 'File List'
Wait until the Latest Original Technomate Software has finished loading and wait until the receiver re-boots

Go to 'System Settings' > 'Factory Reset' > PIN: 0-0-0-0 > 'Factory Reset' > Select 'Yes'
Wait until the factory reset has finished then select your preferred language on the following screen

Go to 'USB' > 'Data Transfer' > and select the Latest Phantompatch Software file from the 'File List'
Wait until the Latest Phantompatch Software has finished loading and wait until the receiver re-boots

Go to 'System Settings' > 'Factory Reset' > PIN: 0-0-0-0 > 'Factory Reset' > Select 'Yes'
Wait until the factory reset has finished then select your preferred language on the following screen

Go to 'USB' > 'Data Transfer' > and select the ADDON_002p Software file from the 'File List'
Wait until the the ADDON_002p Software has finished loading and wait until the receiver re-boots

Go to 'System Settings' > 'Factory Reset' > PIN: 0-0-0-0 > 'Factory Reset' > Select 'Yes'
Wait until the factory reset has finished then select your preferred language on the following screen

Go to 'USB' > 'Data Transfer' > and select the .cndf file (channels/satellites) from the 'File List'
Select 'Normal DB' then wait until the the .cndf file (channels/satellites) has finished loading (the receiver will not re-boot)

Go to 'USB' > 'Data Transfer' > and select the .cndf file (channels/satellites) from the 'File List'
Select 'Default DB' then wait until the the .cndf file (channels/satellites) has finished loading (the receiver will not re-boot)

Go to 'USB' > 'Data Transfer' > and select the Latest TMSoftcam Keyfile from the 'File List'
Wait until the the Latest TMSoftcam Keyfile has finished loading (the receiver will not re-boot)

Go to 'System Settings' > re-set 'Time/Date Settings' (if applicable) then 'Save' > re-set 'A/V Output Settings' then 'Save' > re-set 'OSD Settings' then 'Save' > re-set 'Front Display Settings' then 'Save' > re-set 'Password Settings' (if applicable) PIN: 0-0-0-0 > alter personal preferences then 'Save'

Exit menu and press 'Sat' on remote control and select the satellite you were on before the patching procedure...

N.B.
Patch can be switched ON/OFF in the Menu by selecting 'System Settings' and pressing 2-0-0-4 on the remote
CAS Menu can be accessed (when on a TV/Radio channel) by pressing 'Mute' then 'Exit' on the remote
BISS Menu can be accessed (when on a BISS TV/Radio channel) by pressing 8-2-8-0 on the remote

Must admit I'd forgotten this facility - probably because I rarely run my TM6900HD Super WITHOUT the patch I've chosen to use - all dependent upon what I wish to open alongside latest softcam!!!
(Still no news from Phantom re further more comprehensive 'universal' patch updates, more in line with our NUMEROUS requests!):Kickassro
 
I dont think Phant0m is concerned what we think or say, I get the impression it's just a job to him/them. This is a real pity as it reflects badly on Technomate and their good reputation, still maybe Phant0m will prove me wrong by replying to our posts.
Come on Phant0m we know you read the threads so how about a few words from you?

I agree Jimi, but havent we all noticed how quiet he's gone this past few weeks since we made him aware that he had answered/corrected so FEW of our replies/requests to HIS requests to US?:Cheers:
