any idea if triiforce is working on this one - as rev16 broked it?

Do you think this will make the new super marios bros work if it didnt before? How would you install this?

Copy "cIOS38_rev17-Installer.dol" to SD then load and install through WAD Manager?

Copy "cIOS38_rev17-Installer.dol" to SD then load and install through WAD Manager?

delete everything everything inside the folder except the cIOS38_rev17-Installer.dol and copy the folder to your apps folder and Run the installer through homebrew channel and select "Network Installation".

If you dont have wii connected to net you need to download IOS38-64-v3867 via NUS downloader pack it to a wad and place that on root of SD. Run the installer and select "WAD Installation".

Apps folder? Wheres that? Is that if you have usb hdd installed? If im just using SD card would I just copy to that and load HBC?

Will try it tonight on my cousin's Wii as the nsmb dont work on his using softmod.

A little help created folder called apps put cIOS38_rev17-Installer.dol in there loaded HBC but nothing happens no option to install anything what am I doing wrong?

Yep sorted, just created folder and renamed to boot.dol installed fine and now NSMB works fine when loading through Neo Gamma but for some reason on my cousin's Wii the disc channel always says unable to read disc.

This one is doing my head in now. I have done all the other tricks with no problems but not this.

I have downloaded the file, formatted my sd card to fat then unzipped the package to the root of the sd card.

Made a folder called apps and placed the cIOS38_rev17-installer file inside, renamed it to boot.dol.

Started wii, went into hombrew channel and nothing happens.

Just to re-cap all that is on the sd card is a folder called apps and a file inside called boot.dol.

think ya put a folder in the apps folder, name it whatever then put the file in it

do you just install this on top of the old one you have installed or do you need to uninstall the old one first ? thanks

Just install mate. old one will be overwritten. Same if you want to go back, just install old one and it will overwrite the new one

Evening All,

Am I doing somin wrong here?

I create a apps folder on my SD card, open that folder and copy the cios38 rev17 folder into it, the cios38 rev17 folder only contains the .dol file.

I place the SD card into my wii and launch the HBC, there I should be prompted with a tab to load if i'm not mistaken???

When I launch the HBC, I get no tabs to select, all I can do is press home and am presented with the standard options when i do so!

Can anyone tell me what i'm doing wrong here if anything???

Thanks for your time and help.

This is how I did it. On the root of my sd card I have a folder called cIOS38_rev17-Installer in that folder I have renamed the installer as boot.dol.
When you run homebrew and select the installer run network installation

The cIOS38_rev17-Installer folder should be inside an apps folder. I forgot the apps folder sorry m8.

The size of the boot.dol is 3.71mb (3803kb)
