250 doing my head in !!

Done a 250 for my mate ages ago and all was well, now it has went to the "please enter your postcode" page from vermin.

I read some posts that basically said to re mac it, well I have done several times (different macs) but even though I am getting a valid IP it goes to this page very time.


Any help would be good guys

Keep trying mac's m8. maybe try a light.cm mac as these tend not to be used by other hackers.

It will come up with a valid IP but if u look at ipconfig /all in command prompt u should see that the dns servers are not 194.168.4.100 and 194.168.8.100 it was something like 62.something.something.something.

Maybe if u go into the netork card properties and manually set the dns addresses would help???

also goto the security tab in 192.168.100.1 and set back to ure default frequancy.

It worked for me.

when you trying the new macs are you spoofing your nic card aswell

iv neva spoofed my NIC when changing my mac or anything...and has never effected me

Nope i did not spoof my NIC either. just changed the mac to a working one

Try setting the servers manually to 194.168.4.100 and 194.168.8.100

You will need to forgive me when it comes to modems as I am kinda new to it and some of the stuff you peeps are talking about is like another language !! lol

I just go into Hyperterminal and log in then "paste to host" with my new mac in it.



Spoofed a few times but never my NIC ? lol

Look for smac2 in the downloads to spoof your nic,and ambit configtool to change your modem mac...it's a lot simpler

Hi

Do as advised in above post and do not force config. I had a similar prob a few months back and different macs would not work cos I was trying to force the 20mb config but as soon as I stopped doing that the same macs connect.
