Any problems with bully scholarship

A forum member contacted me tonight to say a 79k drive I installed the passkey and flashed about 3 weeks ago went to play bully scholarship yesterday, he took the update now it wont play originals or the copy
I am waiting on a reply to find if there was any errors on screen
any one took this game update ok, even better took it on a 79k drive

I cant even get the game my main PC has gone bang on me as you will see in PC problems

ive d/l the game and my nephew has played it,not sure if he updated it,but just loaded and it does not ask you to update,ms 28 drive ,if you need the game pm me you and i'l send it.

Apart from the games being utter shit and being programmed by an infinite number of monkeys (owing to it freezing a lot), there has been no serious issues reported with the game, personally it did not ask me to update when i loaded it up.

Thanks for the replys lads and the offer Wazok, I will wait to hear if he has any read lights showing or on screen errors, I have asked him if he wants to send the drive back so I can take alook but not anyhad problems with passskeys, and drive flash with fwtoolbox 4.6 until this one so a bit lost

BenQ drive here along with a Sammy ms25 and ms28... none of these consoles asked to apply any update mate. The updates are only dash updates and as all 3 of mine were already bang up to date via xboxlive this will probably be the reason none of mine needed applying. I know this doesn't really help you none but atleast it allows you to rule out the game assuming he grabs them from the same places we do ofcourse.

Sometimes those bleedin' hitachi drives get stuck in what I'll refer to as an xbox logo loop...let me briefly explain what I mean... I done 2 v78's at the same time(directly after eachother ofcourse lol) I stuck in a game to test them as you do and then applied the update from a game disc I knew to be carrying the latest update at that time... 1 of them rebooted as per usual but the other bugger froze on the xbox logo that appears on first boot.... I thought oh well I'll just restart it...same thing...played the first boot sounds and as the logo appeared sure enough it froze again :err: ...this happened continually with the next 6 or so attempts to reboot(hence why I phrased it as the xbox logo loop)... Ok...I'll give it a good cold boot so I totally powered down everything and also removed the power cable from the console for 2 minutes... went to power it back up... same thing all over again. I started to worry a little at this point as I didn't have a clue what was going on and I've done enough to know that the flash went perfect so I was confident it wasn't that... anyway I opened her back up and was going to flash her back to stock and then re-flash to see if this cleared the problem but before going through that I thought I'd disconnect the power cable and the sata cable from both the drive and the board first and then place them back in and give it a boot.... Bingo... booted to dash and been perfect ever since. This has happened to me once again since and again it was a v78 and again the same thing cured it... Heres the part that I found really strange though... most people who read this are probably thinking I didnt have one of the cables connected properly but I can assure you all 4 connections were secure and fully pushed home on both consoles I had the problem with. Now I'm not saying that this is the same problem your guy is having but if its freezing on the logo screen before it hits the dash then it might be worth a look mate. I only hope it is this that is your guys problem because if it is then its a very easy quick fix.


oops ... I should add that both of the consoles it happened on booted to the dash fully on first power up after the flash and that the xbox logo freezes happened only after applying the update mate.

I checked the drive uot just incase one of the wires had come off a leg on the ic ,which i thought would have caused the drive to error
nothing wrong there
removed hard drive ,no difference
tried the bully game in it again nothing ,messed around for too long with it ,after id says trying bully the last game to work in it for around the 50th plus time it booted the game and asked me to update ??

im assuming the game had a flaw in it and the first update somehow cocked it up ,anyway updated it again and it booted other games np
chucked the copy off bully and burnt another just incase

Good news mate.... glad to hear its sorted... it maybe that the v78 and v79 are just a little finnicky with applying the updates as I've not read anything about this happening on any of the other drives but I dare say the problem is very few and far between... in fact other than the 2 instances I witnessed personally yours is the only other I've read about. Good to know that yours was sorted in a different way though... maybe if it ever happens again I'll persevere with the disc He needn't have thrown the game away though as now the dash is updated it wouldn't offer the update again lol

I'll tell you something, the patch for Bully is gonna be the same size as the fooking game!

yeah...actually game patches are only ever released over live mate but we're referring to the dash updates that some games carry. I had a minor problem with 2 v78 drives after applying a dash update from a game disc and reading between the lines it appears that another forum member also had a minor issue due to applying a dash update from a game disc
