Saw this on ebay tonight?





Hi this Auction is for information only and there is nothing to sell!!!!!!

It has come to my attention and everybody else selling these boxes that NTL/Telewest are changing the system over on their system. This may mean that you will not be able to recieve the channels (free view). With this in mind I have stopped selling the boxes at the moment so nobody is dissapointed over XMAS. If you need more info email me and will try and give you more information.

Nobody really knows whats going to happen, 2 theories 1 they go off and box gets frazzled or they go off and we have to wait for an update. This isnt like normal they are planning something drastic this time. If people have told the company that their equipment is connected this should stop the boxes getting frazzled. The original and illegal chipped boxes were fried last week ( hence demand) but this also caused ntl/twest problems on normal boxes allegedly. I would wait at least a couple of weeks until the situation is clearer.



As you are aware these boxes are for free view only and the company that supplies you should be informed if you are connecting to their equipment. If they are planning on changing the system you should reconfirm how this will affect the boxes.

I was asked about this earlier on! Not really sure what to think to be honest!

Sounds like a decent trader (if there are any) to stop selling boxes because he has heard they are going to be targeted!

A: All I can tell you its a case of waiting. Again it may just be hot air and nothing will happen. Its hard to say at moment.

Q: what you are saying is untrue, here in london, and all telewest area's, telewest has stopped pay per view for the last 9 months, you can still get over 240 channels including sky sports all 10 sky movie channels, all thats happend is ntl have finally caught up with telewest to stop pay per view, kind regards
A: Sorry but thats not right Pay per view was changed ages ago for everyone ntl included. Nobody really knows what is happening, all I know is that telewest are sending new cards out in 1-2 weeks and the staff have been told something is happening. If you are happy to sell/buy them, thats up to you. Dont forget you are not allowed to watch channells apart from the freeview, and you should tell the company supplying the feed.

Q: does this mean none of the eurovox max will work over xmas.i was thinking about buying one and not sure now with what your listing say's.could you send me some more information. thanks simon
A: Yes it looks like they may not work over xmas what happens afterwards is the problem it should be sorted out but not sure yet.

been told they are going to go off again on the 9th dont know how true that is but have also been told by the guy who did mine that he wont do any until after christmas as they are going to keep hitting the boxes
 
but could you imagine if they frazzled your box and it burnt your house down ???

i think that part is rubbish but who knows it would be about time and give some lazy fookers things to do

ffs forums will be busy i guess lol

This is what I wanted to ask as well.

I've been trying to build my post count to ask this in the Eurovox section.

I heard about this the other day and wanted to know if there is any truth in it.

I don't understand how they change the system to block the Eurovox as it relies on the signal.
Could they change it so you had to have talkback to get channels?

OR

could there be some way of having a varying signal frequency? This would stop the vox as it would keep changing.
 
If there was a chance of damaging legitimate cards don't you think they would have sent out the new cards before they do it??

the rumours that are going around suggest that cc's are changing encryption from nagravision to nagra2 which as far as I can see eurovox/starview/replay do not currently support. but then again I dont think Telewest Pace or Scientific Atl do either but who knows.

I know there is currently no update for this but would/could there be in the future??

I would think so but my view is that i the whole story is a load of bull.
If not then a dead eurovox would make a great xmas pressie for someone you cant fookin stand

shouldn't this be in Cable section anyway admods ?

Just read this about Nagra2:

Hope its not true cos I've only had my eurovox for a month!!!
