So the lads on here were right. New channel. Extra £5 .A month .now I was on talking to them before I signed new contract .was assured this wasn't going to happen. BT phone Internet customers would not be paying this .phoned today complained . Told I can't even cancel my contract . I've asked for the recording to be listened to as when I took new contract I was told this was just sky's scare tactics. Oh but I can keep BT sports lite . Pmsl cheeky c@@ts act like they are doing me the favour :Angryfire

Again they are all the same, I gave up the Sports Channels many years ago (when excellent alternatives were available, lol) and have vowed never to pay to use them. Fortunately there are still ways of viewing the sport I want to watch, although the quality is not quite so good but still of an enjoyable level.
The con of having to pay for a phone line to have Broadband (I know that packages are offered without phone, but the price is hiked to cover it anyhow) is the real bug bear I have.
Especially when they advertise packages at X amount of £s and the phone line rental not talked about but given in the smallest print possible.

I cancelled my direct debit for the BT Sports channel since the EPL stopped.

They waited until the next billing month started, then phoned me asking me for details from Asian call centers, I told them how do I know who they are, and I wont be giving them details and for them to prove who they are! - But would not tell me what they wanted!!

Anyway, I finally got a letter saying I owe money for the TV Service.

For a company as large as BT, the way they want every last penny out of you does not sit right.

I mean if you cancel a direct debit it is obvious you want out of your contract!
But they keep you in your contract to squeeze another month out of you should you fail to call them!

I wont be re-subscribing the BT sports next season!

NOTE: when I signed up they tried to tie me into a cheaper tariff but I thought feck it, if I want to cancel at least I can... Glad I paid the extra £2 a month now!

Out of curiosity (because I have no interest in watching sport) I just went to the sports donkey addon on the T8 and it has all the HD sports channels. So my question is, why are you paying these people when its available for free, or am I missing something.

i got them to give a deduction of the cost on my bill so after being messed about they backed down .ended up saving £18 a month . funny them trying to squeeze more out of me ends in them getting £18 a month less.... i dont have any of the android or skyopen box mate . im one of the daft ones i pay for it lol

Its no longer in either SuperRepo or MetalKettles repo, also noticed that a lot of the streams on ivue use sportsdonkey as their source,so no viewing for free unless you have an account unfortunately

Well it’s definitely working here I just checked again, but that’s with my personal login.

For the sake of an Extra £20 on top of the price of the box for a lifetime support, it would be well worth it for sports fans.

I just checked if it’s still available and they said:

“Usernames & passwords are no longer issued, those who wish to have Sports Donkey would need to subscribe via their website.”

Maybe when things quieten down a bit they may start doing it again.

Step by step guide to installing.

Visit this page from your devices built in Web browser:

plugin.video.aswizard-4.0.0

Click the Green download link on the download page and the zip file will download

Close your browser and open Kodi/Go to System/Addons/Install from Zip/External storage/Downloads

Now click on Plugin.video.aswizard.4.0.1 (it will say 4.0.0 but its 4.0.1)

You will now see The Wookie enabled

Go all the way back to the video tab in Kodi and click on the Add-ons tab under it

You will now see The Wookie, highlight the add-on with the remote/Keyboard but do not click it

Press the 'C' button or the menu button on the remote/Click on Addon settings

Now you can enter your username or password (if you have a username and password then use your one if you don't have one then use the free account.
