...seriously never a traffic cop when you want one
whats the difference then, lorry driver/car driver/coach driver?Really p****s me off, particularly when I see lorry drivers doing this. I seem to see it more and more - or am I just getting old
You get a feeling all these laws are only there as a 'money maker' and not necessarily to save lives. Why implement laws you can hardly enforce?
Am I the only one that thinks all that cars should include a factory fitted kit that makes it impossible to use a mobile phone, with an exception for 999 calls?
Awful idea, with a call blocker as such then your passengers won't be able to make perfectly legal calls, mobile data would become useless (this is something i hammer with waze and google play music - saves my cds from being destroyed in the car).
I do think though all cars with a stereo system should be fitted as standard with a basic bluetooth system.
Although you still see people using the phone in the car whilst driving its heading the same way as drink driving, more antisocial it becomes the less people who will do it.
I think they need to make it even less attractive to use the phone whilst driving, first offence £500 fine, second offence 6 month ban, third time 24 month ban. Something like this may actually stop people using them.
