european immigrants do not get cars.
asylum seekers get cars and go to the top of the housing list plus many other extra's.
people seem to be confusing economic migrants (european) with asylum seekers.
european immigrants with children can claim for child support while living here regardless of where their children are, this is eu law not british law. If we move to another european country that pays more then the uk (if any do) then we can do the same.

Members may be contacted by constituents complaining that “illegal immigrants/refugees” in Britain receive significantly more financial assistance from the Government than UK pensioners, citing an email.
The email alleges that “if you cross the British border illegally you get a job, a driver’s license, pension card, welfare, credit cards, subsidised rent or a loan to buy a house, free education and free healthcare.” It also suggests that “illegal immigrants/refugees living in Britain” are entitled to financial assistance worth up to £29,900 per year, in contrast to pensioners who, it says, receive only £6,000 a year in benefit.
The email contains text from a protest email which has been circulating in Australia for some time now, but which may have originated in Canada. Versions also circulate in the United States, and elements even appear in protest emails as far afield as India. The UK version has been adapted, somewhat crudely, for a domestic audience by someone or some organisation unknown. The figures quoted bear no relation whatsoever to the situation in the United Kingdom.
As long ago as October 2007 the Refugee Council of Australia advised Australians to ignore an almost identical email to the one now circulating in the UK, describing it as “blatantly inaccurate and intended to create resentment towards refugees and fuel disharmony.” The Australian Department for Immigration and Citizenship has also attempted on more than one occasion to refute the claims in the email, but it continues to circulate, in various guises, and receives regular attention on talk-back radio shows and internet discussion forums.
This note gives details of the email, and looks at its origins. It also gives information on actual entitlements for immigrants and pensioners in the United Kingdom.

One thing that gets me and probably not noticed a lot is,
i know an iraqi who came here, went through every country from iraq to here on his merry way. Reached here a pleaded for asylum saying his life was in danger and would be killed if he went back to iraq yadda yadda yadda.
Now he got British citizenship he of back to iraq for a 3 month holiday.
Now if he is in fear of his life how the feck can he go back for a jolly to see relatives?

i know an albanian kosovan (not, not the albanian youre all thinking of lol) who got into the uk in the back of a goods truck, which he popped out of in a town just outside of cardiff, and claimed assylum. ive known this guy for about 10 years now.
it took him nearly 4 years to get to the UK. he got here via greece, italy, boarded a train and ended up in spain, then germany, then headed to belgium before landing in the UK, where he then claimed assylum
4 years and 5 other 'safe' countries first
me and my ex wife was there the day he got a £1,600 'giro' for clothing allowances and other stuff for living, this was as well as having a bill free place to stay. he quickly 'found' other kosovans and was able to buy a NI number and start work, while still getting more money per week in god knows what benefits than i was getting for working
over time, he told us about his house being built by his family for him, with materials and labour paid for by money he was sending 'home' even though it was too unsafe for him to have any form of contact with 'home'
as soon as his british nationality was granted, he went 'home' to see how his house was getting along
personally, i dont care what any website, email, government dossier, newspaper, or anything else says, ive seen it with my own eyes, and thats it in a nutshell above
the UK is a pussy whipped bunch of muppets, shafting their own so as not to upset others
we're the worlds biggest cul-de-sac, and quickly becoming the worlds biggest council estate. We're full, close the borders, stuff the rest of the worlds problems, sort our own out first

Two points:
I replied to this thread originally because something that has being doing the rounds for sometime, and is clearly an urban myth, was posted as if it was factual: I've shown that what I said is correct and that the buying of the car story is probably a myth as well.
I have a fair bit of respect for Digi because he generally speaks from his own experience rather than: I heard it from a friend, etc. Nevertheless I don't know Digi so , for me, what he says doesn't constitute evidence. I mean him no disrespect by this. Also I have never said that I don't think there are abuses of the system: there clearly are but as they say," One swallow doth not a summer make".

romanian plasters who didnt speak english
pakistani labourer / fitters who admittedly came over from pakistan
who said anything about working legally in this country
you can enter this country illegally and find work - it is called exploitation
this country has gone past the point of return imo - we will end up like america within 10 years with private healthcare & education with very little social security and communities / cities living in poverty
i dont know how this country can support a public health service that allows EU migrants to come here to be treated - we can allow non eu citizens to enter this country and be treated on the NHS
I dont know how this country can support a public education system where we feed, clothe & educate children who were not born in this country
I dont know how this country can support social security by giving people houses to live in & money for food when they dont belong in this country
we as a country do not produce or manufacture anything - we rely on importing & the service sector so effectively we as a country rely on other countries to stimulate our economy
any EU citizen can enter this country and gain access to health, education & social security - we are the only EU country to effectively offer this so of course it is an attractive proposition - employment opportunities are irrelevant considering our own people are emigrating by the thousands to look for a better life / career -

not travel half way round the globe to seek refuge/asylum in the uk cos they know you`s are a soft touch.
