liteon erase froze need a little help

hi
just tryed to do my first liteon with jungle flasher
i followed the tutorial right to (lite-on-erase)
i clicked liteon erase then clicked yes and yes then my computer froze before i even had chance to turn the drive off and on
so i did a little reading and uninstalled my via card drivers from device manager and also
Delete the viamraid.sys file out of your c:\windows\system32\drivers
now my computer doesnt freez but im not sure what to do now

i tryed to rewrite in jungleflaser but im unsure what to load and how
i have got my key Inquiry dummy Lite_CFW Identify all saved

any help is very apriciated

Just follow the tutorial from the beginning and all should be well,i had the same problems until i uninstalled the sata drivers,i just started at the beginning and it flashed ok and have had no more freezing of the pc.

it was the erasing part that wasnt erasing propely
after a few more goes it erased and then i wasnt sure what to load and where

it was the Lite_CFW.bin i had to load in jungleflasher under the firmtool tab (open target firmware)
then it wrote no problem

i have a spare liteon drive out of a liteon that i spoofed a samsung ms28 drive into
is it ok to practice the erasing and writing with this drive
to get the erasing part right?

also on liteon erase part when it says are you sure you have the correct drive key e.c.t
you click yes
then another box comes up and says when erase is complete vendor intro will be sent
power off the drivethen on in quick session once

do you click yes forst then as soon as you click yes turn off and on again
or do you watch the screen for somthing to finnish?
thios part isnt clear

m8 if you uninstalled the drivers for your sata card how does it work afterwards??

from what i have rerad it works of the WINFORD PORTIO32 DRIVERS
dont ask what or why as my brain isnt working propely at the minute

ive done the same as crowman m8. got as far as the erase bit and my pc froze. now the drive will not eject and everytime i turn the drive on in windows my pc freezes. i have uninstalled the sata drivers (via chipset) and deleted the other file and now the drive does not show up. any ideas

celtic, pc freezing is driver issues use 5.30c or 5.20c ya get it off via arena

the drive doesnt eject because theres no firmware on it, it will act dead until its flashed

Mine would not work with any of the via drivers,i had to uninstall get rid of the drivers manually from windows/system32/drivers,unplug the card , reboot the pc,then turned the pc off,plugged the card back in,booted pc up and installed the portio32 drivers,and everything in jungleflasher ran smoothly, i erased and flashed 3 or 4 times just to check and even did my benq and had no issues.

good info dave thanks for letting me know, i still using DOS to flash as i prefer it keep things easy like before havent had time to properly test out the 32bit apps fully yet, still grab the key and gen firmwares in windows though

On the MTK32 page click device id,see if it finds it then,that is what i had to do.

folloowed the above tut to a T . got dos to show the drive as ff72 but after that my drive will not show up. if my port no is ef00 i got it to ff72 using that port but when i run dosflash it does not show up. as i said i followed the video tut to a t and still im getting nowhwere. any ideas??

im in the same boat as you mate followed the vid l-o-eras status ff72 but wont show in dosflash? nothing to do with drivers if its in dos with iprep,im gonna try it on my onboard sata instead of my via 6421 card.

Power cycle after erase is essential

Via + Erased chip = Freeze

JF doesnt 'use' PortIO drivers as a substitute driver, it needs it to write to ports other than 0x170/0x1F0

can u not just use mtkflash , ie mtkflash w m/ lite_cfd.bin or mtkflash e m/ ? and not dosflash
