Dreambox fix

I've followed the instructions but I also deleted the entries in Keylist.txt

The Keylist.txt isn't updating and I'm not seeing anything.

What can i do?

Addendum- I'm using Digital Worldz 2.0 as my image
they keylist won't update... what's wrong??

thanks everyone, i'm pretty pleased the keys have changed as it has made me learn bout the boxes and FTP, today have used Dreamup, FTP, fixed my boxes, then got board and messed around and managed to deleted the images so now leanring how to telenet stuff over!

Yeah that worked... thanks to smirnoff for upload.

dodgy ethernet port, try wrapping the ethernet cable around the box to make a better connection.

not so sure if its dodgy because my router sees the dreambox in the client list

Much appreciated for the fix i used smirnoff_rules working image works a treat how do we go about donating to the site plz ? I know i should of done it sooner but funds were tight

A BIG thanks for sharing this great fix guys and especially cydine the alleged author.

In my original keys folder in DWv2.0 I had some files: Ram10.bin, Ram11.bin, Nagraepr10.bin, Nagraepr11.bin as well as the Nagrarom10 and 11. I’ve now deleted these, I presume this correct? I’ve left the “7” equivalents and replaced the Nagrarom7 with the new one and all is working just fine.

I also cleared the keylist.txt file of all entries and within a couple of minutes of rebooting the box, everything was back and there were 00 and 01 key in the keylist file again with the current time next to them.

Wow thanks I got there in the end using DCC to FTP. Had tried filezilla first but couldn't figure out what had to go where.

DCC can be used to flash images as well right? I've used FlashWizardPro in the past but when I tried to flash the fixed DW2.1 today it wouldn't let me saying the file was too big? Is the only was around this to use DreamUp and a null cable? - I much prefer to do stuff via the network.

Suppose its been good practice for when my 800 arrives.

This is the post I was thinking of:

Do you have a router? If so connect via that with a regular ethernet LAN?? cable. If not you will need a crossover cable to connect directly to your laptop.

The software I used to upload the new Rom file was Dreambox Control Centre (DCC) and it was really easy.

Have you pulled the power lead and rebooted?

Also it can take a couple of minutes for the new keys to be found.
