This one seems really weird. I have even put a fresh Andromeda image on with no services etc and did a new scan. It still picked up the SkyBet picture.

Sound disappears and can't FTP

Hi,

I'm new'ish to this forum but have been playing around with the dBox for a year now and decided it was time for an image upgrade.

I have been using this image on the Nokia x2 dBox2 and have found the following:

When the picture freezes (I think due to the cable signal as it also freezes on the Virgin box) the sound stops until I change channels and back again. Never did this before on other images although it sometimes went out of synch.

Can't stream video using yWeb from any channels except FTA channels.

Can't get access to the /tmp/ folder although I can see it on the dBox but not in FTP. Also can't see any folders if I FTP to the box root directory although I can FTP and see all the folders if I goto 192.168.xxx.xxx/var/

I like the menus and personalization, undecided on the picture quality as it looks worse than with my Commando 6 image and i've not really had a chance to use the other features yet (streaming video works great when I mount the network drives).

Any ideas on any solutions.

I've tried using uCode14, spts On, EVOCAM, MAGCAM, GBOX, NEWCAMD and get the same or worse results.

Hi guys,

Just upgraded from Andromeda V2 I had for a month to Pacino V3. Have sagem x2 box, and the reception started to skip and pause, so I went back to Andromeda V2 x2.

Very Very good picture quality, very stable on Sagem x2. Job well done.:Clap:

Xenafan, just wondering, if you're working on a new version of this? If you are, maybe you'd consider a suggestion to bring back the "All in Wonder" menu you had on an earlier version of Blade. It was a great menu that allowed easier changing of Cams and Ucodes when advising the less technical amongst us!

Since Andromeda is a progression of the 'Blades' we had better say that Andromeda is better or it might Fook up Xenafan's mindset on his latest venture. Lets hope not. Is it coming soon Xena ???????????

Just put this on last night and it seems to have give my box a boost. With previous image which has been on for nearly 2 years some channels were stuttering and breaking up but this is fine on those channel.

The latest images are amazing my friend and Andromeda V2 is currently my personal favorite. ( Even though I am currently happily viewing Boswell's SS Enigma which is the proverbial ball hair near as good !!!! )

How do I get the subtitles to work?

This image is the best so far, great work!

Only problem is how do you get the subtitles to work?

I've checked through all the menus and can't find the option can anyone help.

just been though a nightmare updating my dbox it has been about 2 years thou anyway i installed this image and iam very impressed its a lot better than my old one commando 5 not to sure about the bootup image thou guess the missis will like it lol anyway top work o all involved keep it up

Since this image is well popular and has been challenged in popularity recently, I am making this post on behalf of my kids. They are the ones watching most of the telly, streaming films and music etc. Although I like to play with the dbox, regularly swapping images and customising it to my my preference, my kids are saying ANDROMEDA V2 is the best. I know this is a feedback thread and not a poll !!!!!!

xenafan what an image so far its been on my sagem 1x which freezes every now and again for about an hour and seems really solid picture and sound are good fast channel switching connected it to my network in minutes transfered services and bouquets in seconds and it came on first time i did note the sig and snr of blade which i had previos and now with the new image i'm getting slightly better signal and snr strength
a big thankyou to all the people who worked on it it will be flashed to the upstairs dbox tommorow which is always freezing so i will let you no how i get on

A BIG Thanks to XenaFan! I've been using Blade 2.0 for a year now and always thought it was brilliant so I'm trying Andromeda.


One great thing I've noticed is that when controlling it remotely via yWeb it responds much quicker. (Or is this because I'm using an iMac now ) Where do the screenshots go when you hit the shot button, nothing seems to happen for me!

One issue I have is that I even though I've set my location (ex c&W Portsmouth) cant change the Cable provider in the scanning section it seems stuck on Kabel Deutschland. Anyone else get this?
