My old Bosch psr 14.4 has finally bit the dust this morning after years of abuse. I went to use it and it burned out plus the batteries are shagged out so I'm on the hunt for a new one.

Something on the lines of a cordless drill, 2 Li-Ion batteries, hammer drill action and if possible
quick charging. I've only got about £60-£80 top's. It would only be used for general home D.I.Y and the odd brickwall hole.
I spotted this but I've never used their stuff before , are they any good ?

Ryobi One+ Combi Drill. Includes 2 batteries. PS69 c&c using code at diy.com (B&Q) - HotUKDeals

or this one comes in at £85 using CLUBDCWY5 code at checkout

Makita Cordless 18V 1.3Ah Li-Ion Combi Drill 2 Batteries HP457DWEX2 | Departments | DIY at B&Q

I bought this one about a year ago and its served me well up to now

Batteries last for a while and hardly drain when not in use
I also bought the cordless mini saw for when I do board ups :) although this has gone up in price since I bought it

If you're not too bothered about the name I'd go for any of the Titan range. I've got a cordless for general stuff and a big SDS hammer one, which are both ideal for domestic stuff.

Makita is very good make.
Used there drills and grinders for years in the garage and work.
A bit more expensive but they can take abuse and last there lifetime.

I bought this a couple of years ago and I'm impressed by it it's just light diy around the house but battery seems to last quite long and does the job

Th Makita in my link comes in at £85 I'll have to do plenty of review reading but thanks for all the links and infos

I haven't bought a drill yet, car needed a job doing first. I then got talking to a m8 who's a builder and he said make sure you get a "Brushless motor", it will last you longer and deliver a bit more power and last longer between charges.
I looked at a few youtube videos as to what they mean by brushless and it makes a lot of sense considering my last drill burned out.
If you see any deals on a brushless, 2 batteries let me now , thanks

I have heard robi and dewalt are goo drills but you probably have brought one already

Ryobi have released their new brushless motor drills and impact drivers, and the batteries are quite often on offer, worth a look.

Ryobi,Makita and Bosch are all good makes,at a push I would go for the Bosch, though personally ive been using DeWalt and Hitachi for quite a few years now, avoid the Titan stuff, wont last even for the casual diy'er

Hitachi I've used for years, not that well known for drills but it's the one that gets used most on jobs for SDS use while the Dewalts get left in the case tbh, Bosch gets used for steel, they do take some hammer every day.
