I always bought makita for some reason just peoples reviews.
But recently the new tools Ive picked up have been ryobi just for the value, and the fact Ive been a bit short on money.
Makita for control and durability although the Hitachi's are not far behind.
Buy a decent cordless and buy yourself a £19.99 corded drill from B&Q with the 2 year warranty for a decent combo.
got the chance of a hilti 36v ex-hire drill with no chuck but 1 battery for £80 think i should go fir it? also maybe able to get the belt/pouch combo that you put the battery in and just connect a cable from it to the drill, cause the battery is the heaviest part
my mates had one off this guy and they are in superb nick for an ex-hire jobby!
sorry for hijacking the thread
i see B&Q had a sale on power tools is it still going?
Cheers

I'd pass. Stick with a decent cordless for the majority of tasks and buy yourself any hefty cheapo corded drill for tougher jobs.
In vest in other items such as a circular or bench saw for easy woodworking with the money saved.
