Where to find IP address in 2.1

Newbie here 3 days old. Please could someone advsie me where to find dream box ip address in 2.1 as I am able to FTP magiic files

Another problem i have is that i cannot ftp the magic files to my box using flashFXP

Does my network setting need to be in a set format, e.g gateway etc, if so please advise?

I FTP my Magic file to TMP. I re booted my box went to services set my net id & Frequency re booted my box and nothing happen.

Please someone tell me what I did wrong?????????

the magic files should be 2 files, bin and keys, you need to add them to VAR directory and replace the original bin and key files!!!!!!

thats how i do it anyway iirc!!!!

Ok, I managed to transfer file accross or so I thought. When I looked in Tuxbox commander nothing was in Var etc

Yet my FTP said it had been transferred correctly.

I will try this again once I have transferred file, do I just need to reboot box or do anything else toget all channels working etc

when you reboot the box, anything in /TMP is lost.

Are you stating that when I reboot the box I automatically loose the filesa in TMP

If so can you explain what I should do. 1. Do I fxp the files to tmp and if so what do I do after that to gt m box up and working?

or

2 do I fxp keys to keys and bin to bin

if you have ftp'd them correctly and your channels are still not clearing the only thing i can think is that evocam is switched off, try switching it on by pressing menu, then digitalworldz extras then softcam menu, thats all i can think of mate!!!!

ok Big-hol & Man of Science, my evocam was switched on so I switced it off then back on again and all the channels came on. I must have a strange box as its coming out scrambled at the moment so I am currently doing a rescan to see if that makes things better. if not can you give any pointers on how to clear the scramble and get a better picture

Big-hol & man of science, my evocam was switched on so i switched it off then back on and all the channels that I did not have came up scrambled.

1. I am currently re scanning to see if that solves anything. Is this correct or should i be doing something else and is there anything else i need to do??
