If I could summarise! Apologies to @danforth.

The religion element is irrelevant. All religions have interpretations. Many people in the Middle East are unable to arrive at a compromise unlike in the West where we tolerate different interpretations of Christianity.

The Arab world holds other values that are outside the understanding of the West.

We twitter on about human rights and democracy but they beleive in strength and power.

If we meddle then we can expect nutjobs to hide their towels (headwear) and shoot or bomb some places in the West.

It would make more sense to:

1 - tell anyone going there they are on their own
2 - allow people out but put them in refugee camps until we are sure they are no risk
3 - let the local factions shoot each other on their own land
4 - when the new dictators are in place send the refugees back
5 - just buy stuff off them and stop trying to sell them ideologies they clearly don't want
6 - be nice until they are not nice to us, what they do to their own is not our problem
7 - when they are not nice in the West just provide them with what they understand, Heaven ;)

Simples :)

Wrong, it has everything to do with religion and one in particular. When you brainwash kids with a supremacist ideology and teach them to hate jews and christians calling us apes and pigs, and when that ideology is a religion then yes we can call it a problem with that religion. Weather we are over there meddling or not the seeds are sown from the earlist age.

The Arab world holds other values that are outside the understanding of the West.

And when the dhimmis and uneducated do understand these values, what a fooking shock they will have.

Precisely why we wont win this war, dhimmis and apologists telling us its all our fault or our forein policy or any other excuse apart from the simplest and most logical, the koran

Arrr read that wrong then, thought i had finally got through to you haha

I stand by my statement tho, if you teach a child a supremacist ideology that focuses on hating any other race/religion particularly the jews then the problem exists long before we ever go/got there. And really tbh it dosnt matter weather we are there or not they are here.

You were supposed to be fooled for a second ;) I agree with the "teaching children supremacist ideologies" stuff and you may consider me naive but I have a problem believing that the majority of the followers of the World's second largest religion actually support this radicalisation crap.

I've always worked on the principle that if people are okay with me, I'll be okay with them. If they shoot at me I'll shoot back.

We may fundamentally disagree on how we express it but I don't think we are that far apart :)

How you going to shoot back if you're dead??
That seems to be what 'they' want!

Actually, what 'they' want is 'boots on the ground' because that means nice, big, juicy weapons to pinch and fire at other people they don't like. When they run out of small arms, they'll kill each other with knives, after that they'll punch each other.

Each progression reduces our interest ;)

And 'they' are only likely to pinch weapons when the boots on the ground are dead!
Same thing?
'They' still want you/me/us/boots on the ground/non-believers/non-converters dead!

Just leave them to it until they run out of hostages to behead! Let them have Syria/Iraq/Turkey and anywhere else they want in that region.

Of course, and that's why a conventional approach will never work. When was the last time the West won a Guerilla war?

Christ knows??? (Can i say that? lol)

I found it funny today though reading sky news on the app.
It showed a picute of an IS fighter tucked away in his trench type thing, dressed in his curtains and flip flops ffs! And these are the 'army' that seem to be making gains under the bombardment of coalition air strikes!
We've no chance!
