They boost your entire signal.
They also have a return path so if you need the signal to send back (ie modem) it still works,very good piec of kit if yuo got a few splits and you can adjust to suit

no you just adjust it too your poorest channel and the rest should therefore be fine .
It sometimes needs tweeking but will be solid once going

got one from flebay for about £19.. £24 with delivery.. and its the only one I would recommend.. dont go for the chinese versions...

only thing is that it doesnt come with any instruction manual and its more like trial and error.

I got a yellow brick because i had to split my signal cable for my cable modem and my dreambox. Just plugged it in and worked perfectly, no fiddleing needed at all.
