Looking at getting one of these tft budget monitors, is there any special graphics card I need to buy to get the best out of it or can I use any 128mb card to get the widescreen effect on it?
Was reading on a few sites that if you were to use the monitor to get widescreen i'd have to buy an expensive graphics card!...?

You wont have to go for anything that expensive. Check what your card can do, it might be able to do 1024 x 768 or even more. This will work but there will be some stretching , I read a while back that some people were using some nvidia card to get the resolution just right. This wasn't an expensive card, it was supposed to be the same as there pro card & all you had to do was to flash the bios to make it the same card. If I find out the model number I let you know.
