Well if you can have a search for (xbox-New HD EvoX Boot CD) at LimeWire and start again from scratch.

MS Dashboard (Any)



What does this cd allow me to do ?

Install a new (blank) HardDrive into your XBOX and using this cd it will
prepare, format, and install the EvolutionX DashBoard, MS Dashboard, and DVDX 2.
This will leave your XBOX ready for use.

Also has support for flashing your Onboard Bios to Evox2.4 (Donot use if you
donot know what you are doing)



Use:
1) Put the Contents of your dashboard in to the directory 'CDrive'.
2) Rename xboxdash.xbe in 'CDrive' to msxboxdash.xbe
3) Rename evox.xbe in 'CDrive' to xboxdash.xbe

4) Burn the Contents of this archive onto a CDRW in Proper Xbox Format
A) UDF B) XBOX ISO Image Creator

5) Install new HardDrive into XBOX
6) Put CDRW into xbox and reboot (Turn Off, Turn On)
7) Select 'Prepare NewHD' and follow the prompts
8) Select 'Fix Attributes' and follow the prompts
9) Eject CD from tray and reboot Xbox

Your new harddrive is now ready for use on your Xbox.

Plus you will have to take your games out coz it will be to big to fit onto dvd or cd .

This will sort your prob out and save you £35 m8

well if your xbox is booting slayers ok. then its chiped or exploited of some description. it must be to run unsigned code. just follow the info garrytate posted above and it should sort all your problems out

and 35 quid to sort. damm.

Here you go @fimbo's

You will have to FlashFXP you xbox to your pc first , with a Ethernet card (nic) and a crossover cable!!!

Then copy the c: and e: drive from your xbox to a folder on your pc.

Unzip the file I have sent you EvolutionX New HD Setup.rar

Follow the Readme file!!!

Now make a ISO image using SimpleXISOv03

And burn the cd

Slap it into your xbox and that’s it

many thanks i will try it tomorrow when the computer shop opens and i can get a crossover cable.
It says to find the ip address in my custom dash board i.e Evolution X, Avalaunch, Unleash but i dont have a custom dashboard at the moment only the offical one i will look in there for the xbox ip address hope that will work.

reading through the threads on the site it says i cant ftp to the xbox with my original dashboard.
do you still think i will be able to make a connection?

that's right m8 you will have to get the ip from the xbox

just had a look at mine with the original M$ dash , goto setting , Network Setting , Ip Addresses , then you can change them to match the ip numbers in the tut i give.

crossover cable?

I went to the shop and he says i need an xbox crossover cable and they dont come in till monday.
can i use any crossover cable or do i need a dedicated xbox crossover cable

xbox connection

I have bought a network card and a cross over cable and i have altered the xbox ip address to192.168.1.5
and pc ip address to and the subnet mask of 255.255.255.0
my firewall and antivirus is turned off
Because i cant go into custom dashboard i cant set the connection to static
i can only boot the original dashboard
i have set the xbox dns to the same as my pc i.p address
i have run flashfxp but i cant connect.
I have read i wont beable to connect because of my original dashboard if so what do i do now.

you could try hotswaping it iv got a tut in this section ''xbhdm1.9 udx'' this should put evox dash on ur xbox and allow you to ftp?
