windows 7 reinstall help

hi guys , im trying to upgrade my sony vaio VGN-BX396VP, from XP to wondows 7 ,but it gets to 77% and says ( windows cannot access the installation source,verify the installation source are accessible, and restart the installation ), any 1 help me out iv tryed a couple of windows 7 disc same thing, any 1 help me fix me little problem or is it big problem :Laugh: thanx .

Bad hard drive, memory issue or damaged optical drive

You could try putting the disc in an external drive and installing from there.

make a win 7 USB drive and install from there, should only take 20 mins after that.

no i dint get error code it just says (windows cannot access the installation source,verify the installation source are accessible, and restart the installation )

iv changed the dvd drive,

and im just doing mem test now,

ill let you no how it get on.
