windows 7 home premium download & dual booting

just got a fresh laptop and want to dual boot with xp & win 7(i have a win 7 sticker but need to download it to install). i have programs that require xp so wish to dual boot between both os,hard drive is partioned into 3 partions 1st drive has xp installed, can i just install win 7 on second partion & be offered the choice of which os to boot into on startup ?

win 7 will pick up the existing install and give you an option on the boot loader.

If your PC is powerful enough then you can always use XPM.
