Been threatening to reinstall win 7 for ages but never got round to it. Last couple of days my browser would stop working saying it was waiting for cache. Cleared it yesterday but did it again today. Nothing else would respond while this was happening so I turned the pc off as usual.
Turned it back on and it couldn't find my OS, had this umpteen times before. My OS is on an M.2 ssd so I have to disconnect all other storage drives for the M.2 to be found. Still didn't find it so made the necessary changes in the bios and selected it as 1st boot drive.
Restarted pc and just cycles to the bios every time. Thought bugger it and put an old win 7 disc in and it appears my M.2 was blank???? Unallocated space was nearly 240GB from a 256GB drive!!!
Win 7 disc must be a bit dodgy as it didn't complete so I'll be working on it tomorrow, all my os's are on drives inside the non booting pc.
