So you dont have to put the key in again, label faded, not bother with hunting for drivers.

Recovery disks are a fresh install.

All valid points but usually come with same bloatware that comes originally supplied is enough to make me want to install from original media. TBH, most of the PC I deal with are white box so recovery options is less of an issue.
