Change Windows to Classic view is the offical microsoft version there are a few more out there if you google.

I use start menu 8, found it very good.

In fairness Win 8 is stable and with the classic interface is easy to use however I don't see any advantage over Win 7 or XP for that matter.

I am aware of that but to be ohnest i turn updates off anyway so it makes no difference to me

Yer maybe...or they realised xp was so good they had to get some more revenue in..then charge for their f__k up and charge for win7 all over again
